Over the past week, our region and nation have experienced events and mandates many of us have not seen in our lifetimes. HCC is committed to the safety and well-being of our people, clients, families, and the communities in which we live and work. We have proactively communicated with our team members on health and safety including the flexibility of work locations during this period.

The Internal Revenue Services (IRS) has extended the tax payment deadline for 2019 income taxes for individuals who owe up to $1 million and corporations that owe up to $10 million. Eligible taxpayers can defer payment for up to 90 days without accruing interest or penalties. This puts the new tax payment deadline at July 15. As of now, the tax filing deadline remains April 15, though this could still change. We are waiting to see if the State of Arkansas will change their filing deadline and payment requirements; but as of now they remain April 15th. If there are changes with federal and state deadlines, we will be sure to let you know immediately.

We would like to assure you that we do have the processes and technology to allow our employees to work remotely in order to continue to meet your needs. We are limiting face to face interactions and we strongly encourage you to consider:

• Communicating via phone, email, video conference
• Signing tax returns electronically via our SafeSend delivery option
• Utilizing our secure client portal located on our website
